Imagine having the health and energy that would propel you to achieve all your dreams and goals! It is possible if you understand the key ingredients and the actions that you need to take. Pay close attention to the video and learn the secrets to a HEALTHY life!
What does it take to truly live a HEALTHY life? If you watched this weeks video I gave you my philosophy which uses the word HEALTHY as the foundation to begin structuring life changing behavior. Let’s see if we can’t break it down a little bit more and help design a method by which you can begin to live life at peak performance.
H-Holistic: Taking a holistic approach simply means looking at all aspects of your life as a whole. Every area is interconnected and impacts the others. As I mentioned in the video, I’ve broken life down into six simple area: Spiritual, Family, Physical, Financial, Intellectual, and Emotional. Now you may decide that you want to add or subtract from this and I encourage you to do so if it is going to help you get a better handle on creating a more effective way of designing your life. If you take a sheet of paper and write each segment of life at the top, you would have six (or more) pages. Now take the time to do a “brain dump” or “mind-map” of free flowing ideas of what this part of your life would look like if you were completely fulfilled. What would the best version of you look like? Remember, this is an on-going process and this is only the beginning.
E-Energy: Where does yours come from and do you have awareness and intentionality around how you create positive energy flow? Do you have boundless energy that allows you to fulfill all your daily goals in a passionate manner? Or do you come to the end of the day or even mid day and realize your energy has waned and you have no more to give to your family or career. What are you doing to maximize your energy at the physical and emotional levels? Prayer, meditation and exercise are spectacular ways to tap into a positive energy flow, so take time to design a system that works for you. Also, surround yourself with people who have high energy and positive attitudes. We have a choice so let’s make our associations ones that will support our energy expectations.
A-Action: What do you need to stop doing to make room for what you should be doing? Often we try to be everything to everybody and in the process get very little accomplished. Do you have a comprehensive game plan for life that’s written and specific. A game plan that is specific, measurable, action oriented, results driven and time sensitive? For now take these simple hints I’m giving you, put your ideas in writing and start taking action. Remember this simple mantra, “motion creates emotion”. So get out there and Do It NOW! Life is always changing and you will make adjustments along the way.
L-Lifestyle: What is the lifestyle you want to live? What are the dreams you have for your life? Are you still connected to those dreams or have you let life’s circumstances beat the dream out of you? You have within you the power to design and live the lifestyle that has been growing within you. The world is changing and we have so many resources to help us achieve that dream if we will only become that constant learner who surrounds himself with like minded individuals who are passionate and driven by a passion for excellence. The seed of greatness was planted in you at birth, so cultivate, water and fertilize it with a grand vision and that lifestyle you’ve envisioned will appear.
T-Time: We are here for only a short time so what are we going to do with this gift of today that we’ve been given? Let’s take time out of our day to design how we want to live. If you want to get physically fit, how much time are you allocating to exercise? If you aren’t making enough money, how much time are you focusing on learning a new craft or getting better at your current career so you can increase your marketability?
H-Humor & Happiness: We take ourselves way too seriously! Life can be quite funny when we look at all the things that happen on a daily basis. Comedians make careers out of every day events that leave us laughing at ourselves and fellow planet dwellers. I’ve chosen to claim myself as a “Humor Being” it’s a lot more fun. Don’t we all love a good laugh? We love the unspoiled laugh of a child or that gut wrenching laugh we have when something really tickles our fancy. I love to hear my wife laugh! She loves to laugh and we laugh at ourselves and each other many times a day. Laughter is healthy, so let’s all start finding the humor in life! Become a Humor Being! Likewise, choosing to be happy will lead you to success.
